About Keyser Soze;
Keyser Soze has an original ska/rocksteady sound with strong jazz and soul influences. The 6-piece ensemble was originally formed by Jammal Tarkington and Rodney Teague, in 1998. With the success of their first two releases, "Who is Keyser Soze?”, and "Revenge", the band made a strong presence for themselves touring regularly throughout the west coast. Over the years, the group’s addictive sound has placed them in the position to share the stage with some of the best drawing headliners, including Michael Franti, The Wailers, Ozomatli, The English Beat, Toots & the Maytals, Steel Pulse, The Skatalites and Burning Spear. In 2011, Keyser Soze released their third record, "But Not For You". The single, "Next To Me", has received significant air-play on college radio stations and ska/reggae radio shows across the nation. Currently, the band is playing shows to promote their latest record, "The Remedy", which has been released in June 2013 on Megalith/Rocking Records.
Keyser Soze has just returned from it's first tour of Europe to rave reviews and legions of new fans in the ten countries covered. They are poised to return next year, but in the meantime, will be playing a lot of shows in California and the West Coast region promoting "The Remedy". Lookout for upcoming gigs in Lake Tahoe, Chico, Sacramento, and San Francisco.
